Heavenly Anointing

Dear Father, at Thy feet I kneel
In consecration to Thy love,
That all my thoughts and words may bear
Fair impress of the things above.

Dear God, I plead, bestow on me
The heavenly grace of charity,
That like the blossom's fragrant breath
Goes forth to all, so full and free.

And oh, I pray, may that sweet gift,
The grace with mighty power from Thee,
Thy tender, healing gentleness,
Be ever manifest in me.

Dear Love, keep me so close to Thee
That thought may rise in grateful prayer
For Thy dear presence, peace, and joy,
And all our Father's loving care.

May holy inspiration deep
Find echo in my quiet soul,
And such anointing from Thy hand
Keep me forever pure and whole.
