I thank God for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for Mary Baker Eddy, the revelator of Truth in this age.

When Christian Science came to me, I knew at once that my prayer of many years had been answered. I had an intense longing to know more about God, and I prayed daily that the way would be opened to me to gain the spiritual understanding that I desired.

One day, when my eight-year-old daughter returned from the Sunday school she had always attended, there were tears in her eyes. She asked me where God was and many other questions about Him that I could not answer. She was so demanding that I saw she was not to be put off. I sat down with her and told her that I could not answer her questions since I, too, wanted to know more about God. But, I said, I knew we should find the way to know about God and be happy, and until we did so, we must be patient and do the best that we knew.
