Friendship

Each unselfed thought, each kindly deed,
Denies the lonely road;
Each lifting of another's need
Lights up the way to God.

So shall our way with joy grow bright,
Our fear and darkness fade;
And gently glow the kindly light
Of Love that knows no shade.

Unbounded love, eternal peace,
True joy that knows no end,
Are measure of his happiness
Who finds in God his Friend.
