"Find refuge in Truth"

"Mortals must find refuge in Truth in order to escape the error of these latter days," writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 83 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

He who patiently and persistently seeks refuge and defense in Truth, in the reality of spiritual being, finds increasing protection from the malicious scorn for that which is good and contempt for individual liberty expressed at present in hatred, revenge, cruelty, brute force, and mental manipulation.

Many today, whether in close physical proximity to or far removed from the theaters of war, are learning through the study and application of Christian Science to understand and demonstrate the true nature of God, Truth, and are thereby profiting greatly. "The error of these latter days," of course, is not new. The much-publicized "new order" is but the order of mortal mind, clothed in a different garb. Human beings in great numbers appear to be succumbing to intentional vicious mental persuasion, which operates to fetter human faith in good, stifle man's allegiance to his Maker, and leave its victim in a condition of mental and physical submission to personal domination. But the demonstrable fact remains that divine Science destroys mortally mental illusions and establishes our birthright of individual unity with the one and only God.
