With a sincere heart I should like today to give thanks for the healing I experienced through Christian Science.

Five years ago I fell ill with pleurisy and tuberculosis of the lungs. Five months' treatment in a lung clinic, pneumothorax, and two operations on the lungs ensued. To human sense my life was in danger. I was dismissed from the clinic, but a lung specialist continued to treat me. His treatment was ineffectual, however, and his predictions were gloomy.

"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." Our heavenly Father was leading me. I was brought in contact with people who called my attention to Christian Science, and I attended a lecture. These words of Jesus, which were quoted, made a deep impression on me: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
