Substance Eternal

As dawn so surely brings to light
The dear, familiar things
That perish not although the night
Enfold them 'neath her wings,
So nought of substance or of life,
In God's majestic scheme,
Is lost in self-destroying strife,
Or touched by error's dream.

The floods of fear shall yet subside,
The winds of wrath abate,
The thunder clouds of hate divide,
The darkness dissipate,
And who keeps faith with Love shall find
That good abides secure;
That all the loveliness of Mind
And Mind's ideas endure.
