For many years I have felt that I should make public acknowledgment of the benefits I have received from Christian Science, because I have been greatly blessed. At this time I will mention but one of the occasions on which it has helped me.

Several years ago, while I was staying in a hotel in one of the cities of the Middle West, I manifested symptoms of erysipelas on the head and face. Since I was attached to the staff of an engineering organization, it seemed wise, for the protection of others, and because of public regulations, to call a local physician. This was done, and he pronounced the condition contagious and ordered my immediate transfer to a hospital.

In the meantime the help of a Christian Science practitioner was solicited, and through his work, together with my study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the healing was accomplished. Within three days the complete proof of healing took place, and I was entirely free from every evidence of physical discord, without any medical treatment having been given, although I had been closely confined in an isolated room.
