Seasickness, like all other ills which mortals seem heir to,...

Seasickness, like all other ills which mortals seem heir to, can be healed by Christian Science. To this fact I should like to testify.

With two other civilians, I was invited to be a guest on board an aircraft carrier for a three-day cruise off the coast of California and Mexico during fleet battle practice. It was such an unusual opportunity that I immediately accepted.

The night before we were to sail, one of the other guests called at my home as we were finishing our dinner. He remarked that it was a very windy night and that a rough trip was imminent. Thereafter I was unable to eat my dessert. I became seasick, and retired as soon as possible. I spent as miserable a night on land as I had ever spent on the ocean. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 86), "Mortal mind sees what it believes as certainly as it believes what it sees." There is no question but that this statement is true. I saw and experienced exactly what I believed.
