With a thankful heart I wish to express sincere gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. Our home was in Vancouver, British Columbia, when I first became interested in this Science about nineteen years ago. At that time, during a widespread epidemic of influenza, I was stricken, and my husband asked if I would try Christian Science, which he had been studying for some years. I received absent treatment from a practitioner, and in a week's time I was well, without any weakness or aftereffects such as others complained of. I have never had influenza again.

With the help of a practitioner, our elder son, when a small boy, had a quick and beautiful healing of pneumonia. Our younger son was healed of hernia, which a doctor said would never yield without an operation. This healing was slow. Much fear and a sense of false responsibility had to be cast out. Gradually, with the practitioner's help, I was able to shut out the false evidence of the material senses, and the complete healing came. Our son has now grown to young manhood and has always taken an active part in sports.

I am very grateful to our beloved Leader for her courage and life of self-sacrifice in giving back to the world the truth which Jesus taught. I also give thanks for the literature and the testimonies. I am deeply grateful to the practitioners who have always helped me over many difficulties; also for the privilege of class instruction. I am glad to be a member of The Mother Church.
