It is true, as stated in the editorial, "The Power of the Spirit," in a recent issue, that many people are looking for some way of escape from the problems of the world. It is quite wrong to state, however, in this connection, that Christian Science is a "half-truth." Christian Science presents the whole gospel of Christ Jesus. It insists that mortality in all its forms is an enemy to be overcome, not blindly, but with spiritual understanding. It also teaches that this can only be done through demonstration in proportion to one's own understanding of the facts of being. In his demonstration of the truths of Christian Science a student soon learns that concessions to human ways and means, and error of thinking, involve the retracing of steps and the correction of mistakes in very much the same way as in mathematics. The growth of the Christian Science movement is assured because it is founded upon demonstrable Truth.
