The blessings we have received since I first began the study of Christian Science have been many, and I am grateful for them all, for they have taught me to know the Bible better and to live nearer to God.
Less than a year from the time I first read a Christian Science Sentinel, our youngest son had infantile paralysis. This was completely healed within two weeks through the earnest work of a Christian Science practitioner and my trust in God's promises. Our home was, indeed, a happy one when this healing took place.
In June, 1937, the same child fell from a porch and hurt his left arm. My husband thought it best to have an X ray taken. The picture showed the elbow to be broken. The surgeon said it was one of the worst breaks he had ever seen, but that he would do his best to set it. This he did, but when the bandages were removed the lower arm was not in line with the upper arm, and the elbow was much enlarged. The surgeon suggested breaking the bone over, but the child's father was then ready to ask for Christian Science help. A practitioner was called, and by the end of about two months the arm was as straight and in as good condition as the right arm. Since then it has given him no trouble whatsoever.
