Leighton Buzzard Observer

Referring to the article by a physician in a recent issue, in which the writer places "mind cures," "faith cures," "mental healing," and "Christian Science" in the same sentence, as if they were much the same thing, may I ask the courtesy of the publication of this letter for the information of your readers? Christian Science has no connection with any of the above as generally understood. Its teachings are in full accord with the Bible, which declares with the Psalmist that God is He "who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases."

As regards nerves, on page 480 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy occur these words: "Nerves are an element of the belief that there is sensation in matter, whereas matter is devoid of sensation."
