A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station WBBM, Chicago, Sunday morning, April 28, 1940, at eleven o'clock (Eastern Standard Time), by Arthur Perrow. This program was presented under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for Illinois, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Mrs. Doris Irene Berry, soloist, was assisted by a WBBM staff organist.

The program opened with Hymn No. 208 in the Christian Science Hymnal, the words of which were written by Mary Baker Eddy. Then Mr. Perrow read selections from the Bible as follows: Matthew 5:3, 8, 10–16; Luke 18:15–17; John 3:1–7; Revelation 21:1, 3, 4, 6, 7; 22:17; and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 590:1–3; 266:24–32; 130:15–25; 131:6–11; 280:25–4; 201:7–12; 323:28–6; 572:23–28; 276:4–11; 242:9–14.

Then Hymn No. 148 in the Christian Science Hymnal was sung, after which Mr. Perrow read an address substantially as follows:
