Lecturer: Paul A. Harsch; introduced by Merrill G. Schiveley, who said:

On sending the twelve forth, Jesus said: "As ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."

The healing of sin, sickness, sorrow, and suffering is experienced in this present time through the teaching of Christian Science, the Science of Christ, as revealed in this age by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discovered and Founder of this practical religion. The Christian Science church is "designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master," and to "reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy, p. 17).

It is in loving obedience to the command of the Master that a Christian Science lecture is given. Freely we have received, freely we desire to give to the world of our rich experiences in this healing ministry.
