Sunday School Notes and Comments

I endeavor to impress upon the children that Christian Science is something that they must use every day. No matter what the subject of the Lesson is, no matter what texts are used, my aim is to point out the practical application of the Lesson—how the truth can be used by them in their homes, in their schools, in their play.

I have seen a number of instances where children have been reared in Christian Science homes, have attended Christian Science Sunday Schools, and then have drifted entirely away, because their work had been done for them, and they had a belief in Christian Science, not an understanding. But when the children are taught to make their own demonstrations, they gain a reliable understanding, and then they are not likely to turn away from Christian Science.
