Herald-Tribune

The name of Mary Baker Eddy was mentioned recently in a book review. The reviewer refers to her as one of the "little-known or forgotten teachers."

It would be difficult in a few words to misstate more completely the life, work, and teaching of the author of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." To class Mrs. Eddy among the "little-known or forgotten teachers," considering the size of the Christian Science movement and the large circulation of Mrs. Eddy's writings denotes an ignorance of the facts concerning Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder.

The secret of the power of the Ten Commandments is conscience—God's law written in the heart. In the words of Cicero, "There is a true law within diffused among all men, constant and eternal." It is not one law for Rome and another for Athens. There is one common master and commander of them all, even God.—Selected.
