I have been interested in Christian Science for twenty-five years, and God has been my only physician. Through my placing "radical reliance on Truth" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 167), many healings have been realized. I have been protected in fire, earthquake, hurricane, accidents, in one of which I was hurley fifty feet.

A more recent healing, for which I want to express gratitude, was of deafness, which had been gradually combing on for two years. I had worked over the problem to the best of my ability, but without result. One morning I had wondered at the stillness, and looking out, I saw the cars passing as usual but could not hear a sound. I attended church services regularly, and occasionally I could hear a sentence, but one day, as I sat in church, the thought came to me to be grateful for the beautiful service and for all the services I had heard and enjoyed; and I knew I should hear them again.

I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, who took up absent treatment, and at the end of the week I heard as distinctly and clearly as ever. I am very grateful for this experience, which has given me a more spiritual and uplifted sense and has helped me to recognize the true relationship of God and man, as Mind and its reflection.
