It is with deepest gratitude that I submit my testimony of the healing power of divine Love as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

With the realization that I was not making any spiritual progress while a member of a Protestant church, or gaining any intelligent understanding of God, I turned to Christian Science for enlightenment. This enlightenment came slowly but surely. I was greatly helped during the first two years' study by the loving and patient work of a Christian Science practitioner. During this time I suffered an attack of influenza, which was then prevalent in a severe form, and though in a delirious condition I was instantly healed through the spiritual understanding of the practitioner.

A few years later, while preparing the evening meal, I burned the palm of my left hand so severly that it seemed as though the flesh would break apart. The pain was instantly healed when I reversed the evidence of the mortal senses and scientifically declared that, in reality, I had not been burned. That evening I attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, during which my complete healing took place. This healing brought a deep sense of happiness to me, for it proved beyond question that I was gaining a right understanding of the healing power of Love.
