Referring to a statement in a recent issue, it may be said that no services, meetings, or gatherings of any sort have ever been held, at any time, in the Hippodrome by Christian Scientists, or by any group of persons in any way connected with Christian Science.

It appears, however, that some time ago Sunday morning services were held there by a doctor who calls his teaching "Divine Science." He is not a Christian Scientist, and does not claim to be; neither does he claim his teachings to be akin to Christian Science.

Christian Science was discovered in 1866 by Mary Baker Eddy, who is also the author of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," together with other important writings.
