I have had blessing after blessing from Christian Science, and am very thankful for the truth, which is ever at hand for us to utilize, that God, Spirit, is All.

There is often a period when young men and women without Christian Science are open to confused and distorted views about pleasure and living. I am profoundly grateful for a great general healing in the tone of my thinking which occurred at such a time, and the specific healings which followed—one of drinking; the other, an instantaneous healing of smoking. I had smoked previously for seven years. These healings took place four years ago, and never for an instant has the desire for either liquor or cigarettes returned, not only indicating the permanency of the healings in Christian Science, but showing that power to be divine which completely eradicates the desire for false appetites.

I have found that whenever I make a consecrated and conscientious effort to gain more spiritual understanding, instead of seeking to satisfy what seems to be the material need at the moment, and allow divine Mind to govern and lead, the way has been glorious, and I know that it always will be so. Time after time discouragement has suggested, "What's the use? You're getting nowhere." And then, with a renewal of effort on my part, the allness of God, good, has been revealed, with the consequent realization of the nothingness of what seemed to harass.

The knowledge that Christian Science, when correctly applied, always works, absolutely and without fail, stimulates the impulse to strive hard to learn the rules, and then to apply them unwaveringly. There are no words to express my gratitude. My aim now is to gain a clear knowledge of the truth in order to help all mankind.
