Supply

The needs of man are known
To his creator, God.
And from Soul's infinite supply,
He giveth His beloved
Sustaining manna and the guiding rod.

When earth's pretended joys
Prove false, from hour to hour,
And men, seeking the Father, God,
Forsake all human power,
They find Love's fortress safe, Truth's high watchtower.

Within that blest abode,
Where Truth and Love hold sway,
Their every need is satisfied
In Spirit's holy way.
They ask in faith, and they receive, today.

And when God's likeness glows
Within a grateful heart,
The glories of the Christ draw nigh
And grace and peace impart.
How good is God, who giveth each his part!
