A Christian Science period in the Columbia "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station WEEI, Boston, Sunday morning, May 14, 1939, at nine o'clock (Eastern Standard Time), by Ezra W. Palmer, Clerk of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. This program was presented with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Miss Blanche Haskell, soloist, was assisted by Miss Gertrude R. Litchfield at the organ.

Mr. Palmer opened the program by reading selections from the King James Version of the Bible as follows: Psalms 107:1, 2, 14, 15, 20, 43; Mark 8:14–21; Luke 4:33–39; Acts 8:5–8; I John 2:15–17; Acts 2:17, 18. And from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 330:11–12; 331:18–20; 328:14–17, 20; 333:23–26; 410:29–30; 412:13; 414:21; 428:15–32.

Following the singing of Hymn No. 208 in the Christian Science Hymnal, the words of which were written by Mary Baker Eddy, Mr. Palmer read an address substantially as follows:
