I should like to record some of the many blessings that have come to me through Christian Science during the past thirty years.

My first healing was in 1909, when illness and business reverses had brought about a complete change of environment, and we were strangers in a small hamlet in the Rocky Mountains. For several days I had been suffering severely from some kind of internal trouble, and since there was no physician in the place, my husband was preparing to send me to a hospital in a near-by city. A neighbor came in and he told her what he was trying to do. She said: "You do not need to take her to a hospital. If you wish, I will wire a Christian Science practitioner and she can be healed right here." He then asked her if she thought Christian Science could heal me, and she replied, "I know it can." Her positive assertion gave him hope, and he said to her, "If you know it can, we will send the wire." In less than two hours after the wire was sent, the pain ceased, and I fell asleep for the first time in three days. I was up the next day entirely healed.

Through the work of the same practitioner, I was healed in a few weeks of chronic constipation. This healing seemed as wonderful as the first, for several doctors had told me that I could never be cured, and I cannot remember a day when I had not used some material remedy.
