I joyfully bear witness to the healing of fever, influenza, indigestion, and colds through the ministrations of Christian Science during childhood and later years. At one time, when a personal sense of loyalty and duty seemed to be causing oppression, a double tooth broke almost in half. This was followed by pain, which was acute enough to break down an unnatural reluctance on my part to seek aid from a practitioner. Once I had decided to seek such aid, fear subsided, and a clear indication of the direction in which to turn was manifested. When I came to describe the painful condition to the helper, I found that there was no longer any pain to describe. Soon after this, there appeared a diseased condition of the skin, which was very irritating at times. This seemed to continue for a long time, but all the while I was learning, with the help of a true and loving worker, to understand more thoroughly the mental nature of all error and inharmony, and to claim more radically man's birthright of moral courage and the freedom of Spirit. One day I became suddenly aware that the diseased condition had vanished, and it never returned. In its place was a clearer consciousness of true identity; moreover, I had learned to watch my thinking, and had apprehended something more of what is meant by the word "reflection" in Christian Science. With this came "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding."

Throughout my life I have experienced the curative and preventive power of divine Love and Truth, and I am deeply grateful to all who are pure-minded and courageous enough to exemplify the true way of Life; to parents, teachers, helpers, and to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, for her steadfast reflection of Love and wisdom.

I am perhaps especially grateful at present for the great truths expressed on pages 462 and 463 of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, in the paragraphs with the marginal headings, "Anatomy defined," and "Scientific obstetrics." Through radical reliance on and utilization of these truths, our little son and daughter were brought to us.
