Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

"The Monitor Views the News" programs are broadcast weekdays over six radio stations throughout the province free of charge. The manager of one of these stations is very enthusiastic over The Christian Science Monitor newscasts and the regularity with which they arrive from Boston. He said that when anything forces them to omit a broadcast for even one day the station receives many telephone calls and letters asking why.

During the unusual times through which we are now passing, "The Monitor Views the News" is increasingly appreciated as a reliable and unbiased commentary on world affairs. A stockbroker who was talking to a client, casually looking at his watch, immediately excused himself. When his client asked, "Why the rush?" he replied, "I must hurry back to the office; I want to hear 'The Monitor Views the News.' "

The office receives many messages from those who have been helped through listening to the devotional programs.
