True Liberation

THE great service that Christian Science is rendering the world today is in showing mankind how to apply spiritual truths to everyday problems. When prayerfully utilizing God's law in every situation in which he may find himself, the student of Christian Science is conforming to the statement to be found in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 14), "To be 'with the Lord' is to be in obedience to the law of God. to be absolutely governed by divine Love, — by Spirit, not by matter."

When men realize that God is with them at all times and under all conditions, they cannot then be afraid. The everpresence of God, divine Love, excludes the possibility of any other presence or power. Christian Science teaches us to trust God fully, and obedience to His spiritual laws brings freedom from so-called laws of materiality, which claim to operate in direct defiance of the law of Love.

In the midst of conditions which have brought about failure and loss throughout the world, and the crumbling away of material sources of supply, thinking men and women are beginning to realize that the solution of all problems lies in the realm of Mind. Could anything be wrong in a universe created by omnipotent God, good, and governed by His perfect law? In the words of a familiar hymn:
