Christian Science has opened a new world to me, and it is with great joy and gratitude that I enumerate some of the blessings which have come to me in these many years of proving its truths.

My first healing came through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

At the beginning of the World War, two of my sons entered the navy, and I was stricken with grief. Not finding sufficient solace in my old religion, I was led by the "still small voice" to purchase Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew nothing of Christian Science, nor had I any acquaintances who were at all interested. However, I was going to travel five hundred miles to visit my mother's home, where I felt I could read in seclusion. I had been under the doctor's care for fifteen years, and had been told that I should always need medicine and treatments, and that an operation was also imperative. I had great fear when I was away from my doctor, or without my medicine. To my knowledge no one in the village where my mother lived had ever heard of Christian Science, but later I found and joined a small group holding meetings in a home. I read Science and Health faithfully, and realized it would meet all my needs.
