During the many years that I have known of Christian Science I have had much cause for gratitude. I find that when we are truly consecrated, willing to put all human desires aside in obedience to divine Principle, the answers to problems are manifested.

Some time ago I was stricken with intense weakness, which seemed very tenacious. I became much discouraged, and finally decided to ask for medical help. Suddenly the thought came to me that I knew enough of Christian Science to be able to practice it, and that no doctor could do what the Great Physician, divine Love, could do, and now was the time to prove it. I then resolutely put away the suggestion of medical help, and turned to God as my one and only healer. "Ask, and it shall be given you," said Jesus. So vivid was the realization of this truth that the result was an instantaneous healing. My heart was filled with joyful gratitude for the spiritual law which had operated in my consciousness.

One morning recently I awoke with a cold. All day I felt wretched. Towards evening I did some reading, and after realizing that this condition was not real, and that God's law destroyed all such beliefs, I was filled with joy and gratitude. At this juncture came the call for dinner. As I sat at the evening meal, I wondered at how well I felt; all the disagreeable symptoms had gone. After the dinner was over I realized with joy that the cold had been completely annihilated.
