Members of Christian Science Organization at the University...

Members of Christian Science Organization at the University of Oregon find their weekly meetings helpful and inspirational. There is much evidence that sincere friendships have resulted among members of the organization; also, a wider friendship has been expressed through the correspondence with other college organizations. The organization has met during the past year in a pleasant room in the women's building in a central campus location. During this period a gratifying increase in membership and attendance has been noted. A lecture, given by a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church, in February in the university Music Auditorium, under the auspices of the organization, was well attended and was fruitful in results. Among concrete accomplishments of the group has been the establishment of a circulating library of authorized Christian Science literature, which is open before and after the Thursday meetings. Books were secured through the generous co-operation of the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy, through branch churches, and through the Reading Room at Portland, Oregon. For this, as for other activities of the group, its members are very grateful.
