For many years I have felt the comfort, peace, and protecting power of Christian Science, and it is with a heart full of gratitude to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and to the Board of Directors of The Mother Church that I desire to add my testimony to the healing power of God.

Over twenty-one years ago I was to undergo an operation for rupture. On the day before the operation was to be performed, I received a letter from a friend who had heard about my condition, requesting me, instead of going through the operation on Wednesday, to postpone it, and on Wednesday evening to do her a great favor and attend The Mother Church testimony meeting. So arrangements were made for the operation to take place on the following Monday.

I attended the Wednesday evening meeting, and heard three testimonies of healings of problems similar to mine. While these testimonies and others were being given, there was a doubt in my thought as to their truth. In spite of this argument in my consciousness, at the close of the service I had never felt so uplifted in all my life, and I was able to stand straight, which I had not been able to do for several days. I meditated over these many testimonies, and on Sunday morning and evening I again attended The Mother Church, and was very much inspired by the services.
