"Loose him, and let him go"

When , from the tomb, loved Lazarus came forth,
The power of Life to conquer death to show,
Then spake the Lord, with calm simplicity,
These words of love: "Loose him, and let him go."

When, from the sepulcher of doubt and fear,
Bound fast with graveclothes of belief in woe,
We see our brother reaching for the light,
We hear anew: "Loose him, and let him go."

Loose him from all belief in aught but good
Within your consciousness, and Love will show
To you, at last, how even the power of death
Falls at Love's words: "Loose him, and let him go."
