For years I have enjoyed good health as well as many other blessings resulting from the study of Christian Science. After I had suffered for some time with a nervous disorder, supposed to be hereditary, Christian Science was recommended to me as being good for nervous diseases, and the statement was added that it could injure no one. The book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, was given me by my mother, who knew of it only by hearsay. I began the study of Christian Science, not knowing that one could ask a practitioner for help.

For many weeks I continued studying, often unwilling to give up false beliefs. During this time I continued daily at my work, disregarding my former physician's advice. At last a change for the better came. Some people argued that perhaps the doctor's medicine was just taking its effect, after three months. But I had still another beautiful proof of God's love and care. I had worn glasses for five years. During this period of study I left them off and found I had no use for them. My eyes had become normal. My work along artistic lines requires constant use of my eyes, and for over twenty years I have had no need of glasses.

With renewed courage and health, I found my work developing and abundant supply being manifested. During the World War, changes came, but they opened up greater opportunities in spite of mortal mind's clamor. I did less work, but its value had increased, so I was able to enlarge my experience generally. This I look back upon as being a most inspiring proof of God's availability under seeming stress.
