Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Czechoslovakia.

The past year shows a further progress and growth of Christian Science in Czechoslovakia. The number of groups scattered, especially in Bohemia, is increasing, the older groups are becoming stronger, and the services are more frequently visited.

The press in Czechoslovakia is getting more interested in Christian Science, and mostly favorably. It is especially the high standard of The Christian Science Monitor which is respected by the local editors, who see in it an example of a fine newspaper. The result of this is the publication of a number of quotations and articles from the Monitor; once even a whole front page of the Weekly Magazine Section was reproduced. Sunday services have been announced regularly in Teplice-Sanov and irregularly in Prague.
