For a long time I have wanted publicly to express my thanks for the help we have received through Christian Science. In the autumn of 1932 our daughter became ill with infantile paralysis. The doctors could not give us any hope of healing and advised that she be sent to a home for cripples. Through an acquaintance who had experienced a beautiful healing in Christian Science of a condition of paralysis, we then heard of this truth for the first time. This lady gave me some copies of The Herald of Christian Science (German edition) to read, and I determined to turn to Christian Science and seek help for my child.

A faithful practitioner stood lovingly by me. She recommended that I study the textbook of Christian Science Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I followed her advice and read diligently. In this way I came to understand something of the Christ, Truth, and that "with God all things are possible." Our daughter is now sixteen years old and enjoys excellent health. We thank the almighty God, who led us to the way of Truth. We are also deeply grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the true teaching which comes to us through her writings, by which we may daily arrive at a better understanding of God's Word.
