The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Riga, Latvia (First Church).
Lecturer: Miss Margaret Murney Glenn; introduced by Alexander Reim, who said:—
In these days, days filled with unrest and fear of war, it is indeed well that we listen to a message of peace. Centuries ago it was said by the prophet Isaiah, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!" And today, after hundreds of years, we perceive the message of peace more clearly when we read the following passage on page 332 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness."
