I write this testimony with a heart overflowing with gratitude to God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, hoping that it may encourage others. I wish to express sincere gratitude for all our periodicals, as many times the reading of some article, testimony, or poem contained therein has sustaiend and carried me through a trying experience. One Sunday when I had been passing through deep waters, and material sense seemed to say there was not even strength left to breathe, my husband took up a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel and read to me a little poem; and by realizing the truths it contained, I arose and dressed, and my husband drove me to the practitioner's to tell her the good news.

I can never find words to tell how grateful I am for having found Christian Science. When I was a very young girl, my mother read from the evening paper that Mrs. Eddy had written a book. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which, when studied, could heal the sick and raise the dead. Little did I realize what the book was to do for me later on. Being delicate, nervous, and subject to periodic bilious attacks, I was much in need of healing. I was given all kinds of medicine to build me up, but to no avail.
