For many years before the glorious truth of Christian Science came into my life, I had sought a practical religion. I longed to know if the words of the Master were true, but found no comfort or proof in the ecclesiastical teachings in which I had been trained.

Christian Science was presented to me when I was ill and disfigured by an abscess on my jaw, for which I had undergone long and expensive dental treatment, but without success; and I was ready to grasp at anything to gain relief. I was given treatment by a Christian Science practitioner, and was led to study the entire Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly daily. Within three weeks, not only had this condition been completely healed, but many other healings had taken place, including the need of wearing glasses and the overcoming of nervous strain supposedly produced by overwork. I am most grateful for these healings, but no words can express the joy I experienced when I realized that I now had the "key" to the Scriptures, and therein I found the answer to my many questions. My study of Christian Science was undertaken eagerly, and one of my most precious discoveries was the true idea of Church in its individual unfoldment and as wholly spiritual.

Throughout twenty years my children and I have received wonderful protection, guidance, and many physical healings. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in one of its branches, and for all that Christian Science, as given to us through the consecrated work of one woman, Mary Baker Eddy, presents to mankind.—(Mrs.) Doris Oak-Rhind, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
