When I first became interested in Christian Science I had...
When I first became interested in Christian Science I had worn glasses for astigmatism for eight years. They were removed during the first few months of my study of this Science without any specific treatment. Chronic sick headaches, which I had had for thirty years, ceased after I had been studying Science for only a short time. If I had had no other proof of its efficacy, this alone would convince me that pure, joyous thinking dispels all impurities and consequently harmonious results accrue.
Christian Science enabled me to prove God's presence at the birth of my two sons, who came to me quite late in life. No material remedies were used at any time. Material laws were annulled by the realization of the healing truths as taught in Science.
Christian Science has been my stay and guide in the care of my two children, whose needs have been met by its healing power. With the exception of measles and chicken pox. they have experienced no contagious diseases. When my elder son was in junior high school, a little girl living in our house had the mumps. The school nurse reported this and my son was sent home. Through my realizing the truth about contagion and seeing him as God's child, under His care and direction, neither he nor my other son came under this belief.
