Christian Science has kept me in splendid health ever...
Christian Science has kept me in splendid health ever since I first began to study it in 1924. There was one period when circumstances necessitated my keeping very long hours and having great stress of work during hot weather. As nearly as I can remember, I averaged about six hours of rest at night. It was not easy to get to the Sunday and Wednesday evening services, but I found that they were of more value to me than hours of sleep. One day, when I was feeling that I had nearly reached the end of my physical endurance, a tune from our Hymnal came to me, and after it had been with me for some time the words came, too:
"Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
Till all our strivings cease;
Take from us now the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
The beauty of Thy peace."
