[Christian Science Organization at the University of Washington, Seattle]

The school year just ended has been one of joyous activity...

The school year just ended has been one of joyous activity to the members of this organization, who have tried to extend to the utmost the opportunities offered by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, when she opened the way for the establishment of college Christian Science organizations. For the first time in sixteen years a second lecture was given. This was during the spring quarter in the late afternoon. The lecturer's fee was raised by members' contributions. In the fall quarter an evening lecture was given.

Increased friendliness toward Christian Science was evident on the campus, as the University Daily published a short excerpt from one of the lectures. Although in the past we have been able to get advance publicity on lectures, this was the first time any of the lecture has been quoted.

Establishment of committees has stimulated interest in the Monitor. The Coronation Issue was advertised in the Daily. Dr. Lyman P. Powell's book, "Mary Baker Eddy: A Life Size Portrait," and E. Mary Ramsay's "Christian Science and Its Discoverer" were given to the university library, and a year's subscription to the Monitor was given to the university Y.M.C.A.
