With a desire to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me during the past five years, I am sending in this testimony.

When the idea of trying Christian Science was first presented to me, I was not ready for it. My grandfather had been a minister, and my family had always been very active in church work. I thought I knew all about the Bible, but had never received very much comfort from it. Medical beliefs were also generally accepted, because most of our friends who were not ministers were doctors and nurses.

Six years ago my mother passed on from heart trouble. The following year I began to suffer in the same way—a nervous heart and general breakdown. For over two years I had been visiting the doctors two or three times a week, but instead of improving I was getting worse. At this time my sister again asked me to try Christian Science, and, though believing it could not help me, I yielded to satisfy her.
