Christian Scientists
are assured by their Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures".
In
many ways daily living demands a constant choosing between good and evil, right and wrong, between the spiritual, uplifting influence and the material, downward tendency.

word "governance" is defined in a dictionary, in part, as the "manner or function of governing," and "function" as "the mode of action by which it fulfills its purpose.
Wisdom

The recognition of the marvelous cures that are accomplished through Christian Science, in a press dispatch in the Register of April 2, is appreciated; but I wish to state that Christian Science has no similarity to Couéism.
My attention has been called to a pamphlet, referred to in your issue of June 19, attacking Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.
In Stavanger Aftenblad of June 18 a doctor makes some remarks about Christian Science.

Several articles appeared in the press that seemed to need correction, and all the replies were published.
The
Christian Scientist is assured that should a mortal find himself in the depths of misery or despair, or presented with a problem which baffles him, if he will but appeal to God understandingly, and in humility and sincerity, God will answer his prayer and deliver him.
Mark's
Gospel records the healing by Jesus of "one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech.

It is with a feeling of deep gratitude to God, to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and to all those who have aided me in the struggle to overcome error that I relate the following healings which I have had.
With a desire to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me during the past five years, I am sending in this testimony.

I want to express gratitude for many healings received through Christian Science.
It is now over forty-two years since I heard of Christian Science.
In July, 1920, I decided to leave the Protestant church in which I had been brought up.
From extreme mental confusion I was led to the study of Christian Science.
Having received many blessings, I shall endeavor to show my gratitude by adding my testimony to the healing power of Truth as taught in Christian Science by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
My first experience in Christian Science was an instantaneous healing of appendicities at a Wednesday testimony meeting.
