I am so glad to give my testimony of the wonderful way Christian Science has blessed me and mine.

My reading for a few hours from the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, healed my little girl of whooping cough and other alarming symptoms. I felt that I had received a precious gift. It seemed like Christmas, and I realized that the Christ, the Comforter promised by Jesus, is with us. I thank God for Mrs. Eddy, who discovered the law of divine Love, and gave it to the world in her published writings.

I have been healed of a serious skin trouble which disfigured my face. I was told by the doctors that it could not be cured. I was often unemployed, without home or food. I wandered in the wilderness, as it were, for many months, during which time the Christian Science Reading Rooms were a great comfort to me. Here in peace and sacred silence I would pore over the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. I wept tears of joy as I read the beautiful words in the textbook (p. 254), "Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God," and the wonderful promises in the Scriptures telling of God's care for His children. I rejoice in membership in a branch church, and in The Mother Church, whose loving arms encircle the world, and I am grateful that I am enrolled there.
