"Be still, and know that I am God,"
Oh, restless heart, be still, be still!
The peace of God doth thee enfold,
And guard from ill.

"Be still, and know that I am God,"
Oh, weary heart, be still, be still!
Rest in the Lord, wait patiently
Upon His will.

"Be still, and know that I am God,"
Oh, doubting heart, be still, be still!
God's tender, loving promises
He doth fulfill.

"Be still, and know that I am God,"
Oh, trusting heart, be still, be still!
Lean thou on Him! True peace and joy
Thy heart shall fill.
