With the deepest sincerity and gratitude I should like to give my testimony.

From childhood I have had the privilege of knowing of Christian Science and was able to attend the Sunday school, as my mother was a very earnest student. Since my marriage I have had ample proof of the healing and protecting power of God's love as taught in Christian Science.

I should like to relate two, to me, outstanding experiences: one was of a very harmonious childbirth through the ministration of this truth, the other was of a healing of our youngest child, at that time about five years of age. She had gone to spend the night at the home of a friend. Very early in the morning I was awakened by someone calling me. The friend had brought the child home, as she had been taken suddenly ill and was in great pain. Fear and confusion crept into my thought. My husband, not a student of Christian Science, was away from home and could not be consulted. A practitioner, living in my home at this time, saw the need and lovingly pointed out to me the great importance of taking my stand for Truth. For two days and nights the error persisted, and just as persistently the truth about God and His perfect idea was declared. We held to this statement from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 400): "By lifting thought above error, or disease, and contending persistentlyfor truth, you destroy error." This proved to be the truth which destroyed the error, and the little one went about playing as happily as before. There were no aftereffects and no period of convalescence. The error was never named.
