Twenty years ago I became interested in Christian Science after hearing a friend vehemently denounce it. My curiosity was aroused by this criticism, so I procured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.

After reading diligently for weeks, though seemingly not understanding a paragraph, I still felt that I was upon holy ground and experienced a great sense of peace and expectancy. I have always been glad and grateful that I persisted in my study until I gleaned much from its pages.

As the mother of a large family, it has been my privilege to see and experience numerous healings. I was healed of a broken bone and of a nervous breakdown accompanied by a distressing stomach condition. One member of the family was refused by a life insurance company, because of too much sugar in the system. When the practitioner pointed out that in reality sugar in the system had no more power than in the bowl on the table, the trouble was met in three weeks. After a rigid physical test, this individual was accepted by the life insurance company.
