Before I learned of Christian Science I was like many others who look helplessly about in search of healing. God led me to the care of a practitioner, who guided me through proof into Christian Science. Habitual drunkenness of many years' standing, along with many vices which were wearing me out physically and morally, disappeared with all their ugly, repulsive features. I was newborn in the true sense of the word! Considering the practically incurable conditions, I was healed surprisingly quickly. Furthermore, I gained a modest understanding of God and man, which revealed life to me in an entirely different light from what I had previously known. What I had formerly viewed as supernatural and marvelous now took on clear outlines and a natural aspect. I learned, moreover, to know that the healing of sickness is not the most important part of this divine Science, but that it guarantees an incomparably higher triumph, namely sonship with God.

To be one with God, our Father, to live according to the example of our Saviour, is my desire and effort. May it be my earnest endeavor and my expression of gratitude to help others to find the way! I give God alone the glory!
