Prayer

Give me the strength to meet, dear Lord,
Whatever may betide;
Help me to silence human will,
To cast out stubborn pride.

Though dark the way may seem, dear Lord,
Help me to dread no fear;
Teach me each day to realize
Thy presence, ever near.

The myths of mortal sense, dear Lord,
Help me to rise above;
There let me rest forevermore,
Abiding in Thy love.

My hand in Thine, alway, dear Lord,
Thy blessings I will share.
I thank Thee, Father-Mother God,
For Thy protecting care.
