"Faithful in the Lord"

"Faithful in the Lord," is the beautiful epithet written of Timothy by Paul in his first epistle to the Corinthians, when he sent him to preach the gospel of Christ in Corinth. No human commendation was needed. The highest praise which could be given to herald this great work was faithfulness to the teachings of Christ Jesus regarding man's unity with God, which knowledge Timothy evidently possessed and practiced.

To the true Christian, faithfulness means following in the footsteps of the Master, who never swerved from his declaration, "I and my Father are one." The Christ, Truth, which made Jesus meek and mighty, is proved by his followers's they obey the great Exemplar's commands to preach the gospel and heal the sick and the sinning in whatever circumstance or condition they may find themselves, provided those in need are willing to receive the message of Truth.

A false personal sense of responsibility holds its victim in a seeming bondage of limitation, fear of human opinions, and man-made laws. The personal point of view would so obscure the Christ-healing and the truth about God that it would make Christianity appear to be a mere moral force instead of a revelation of the Christ, the divine manifestation of God, which heals and blesses spiritually.
