I was like one lost in the wilderness, a "reed shaken with the wind," until I found this blessed understanding as taught in Christian Science.

It seemed as though I was in constant pain; I could not eat or drink without suffering untold agony. I had sixteen doctors in all, and not one could offer any relief. I weighed only sixty-five pounds when I met a practitioner in the neighborhood, and she lovingly told me about Christian Science and how I could be healed. Through persistent studying, I was healed. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This truth is Christian Science. I am happy as I never was before, for I have found the "pearl of great price." Since then I have had many beautiful healings. We have gone through deep waters, but have been wonderfully sustained through numerous trials, which our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us in Science and Health (p. 66) "are proofs of God's care."

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a Christian Science Society, where I have had the privilege of serving as Second Reader. I am profoundly grateful for class instruction from one of Mrs. Eddy's students. My heart goes out to God for all His tender mercies; to Christ Jesus, the great Way-shower; and to our beloved Leader, who gave Christian Science to the world.
